System Analyst

Job Overview:

The System Analyst is responsible for analyzing, designing, and implementing information systems to meet the needs of an organization. This role involves working closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, design system solutions, and ensure successful implementation and maintenance of systems.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Requirements Gathering:

- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand and document system requirements.

- Conduct interviews, surveys, and workshops to gather detailed requirements.

2. System Analysis:

- Analyze business processes and workflows to identify areas for improvement.

- Develop functional specifications and system design documents based on analysis.

- Evaluate existing systems to identify areas for enhancement or replacement.

3. System Design:

- Create models and diagrams to represent system processes and data flows.

- Design system architecture and interfaces to ensure scalability, security, and performance.

- Work with development teams to translate designs into technical specifications.

4. Implementation Support:

- Assist in the implementation and integration of new systems and applications.

- Conduct system testing to ensure functionality and performance meet requirements.

- Provide training and support to users during the rollout of new systems.

5. Maintenance and Support:

- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.

- Provide ongoing support and maintenance for existing systems.

- Update system documentation and user manuals as needed.

6. Project Management:

- Manage system projects, including timelines, resources, and deliverables.

- Coordinate with various teams to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

7. Quality Assurance:

- Ensure systems comply with company standards and industry best practices.

- Conduct regular audits and reviews to maintain system integrity and security.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

• Experience:

- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in system analysis or a related role.

- Proven experience with software development, database management, and system design.

• Skills:

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Proficiency in system modeling and design tools (e.g., UML, ERD).

- Knowledge of programming languages and database systems.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Strong project management and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in banking systems and mobile banking will be an advantage.

• Experience with Agile/Scrum development processes.

• Certification in relevant areas (e.g., CBAP, PMP).
