Safety and Building Officer
Somerville (Siam) Limited- Perform duties as a safety officer, occupational health, and environmental protection professional according to the authority and responsibilities defined by safety laws and regulations.
- Serve as the secretary for the Safety Committee (SCC), coordinating meetings, recording meeting minutes, and submitting reports or documents as required by government agencies.
- Act as a trainer, providing safety knowledge to new employees and general staff to raise awareness and instill a safety-conscious mindset in the workplace.
- Conduct activities as specified by safety regulations, such as organizing initial fire-fighting training and annual fire evacuation drills.
- Develop safety plans, conduct safety patrols, immediately investigate accidents, collect data and evidence, determine accident causes, and prepare accident reports, including proposing and approving preventive actions in a systematic manner.
- Plan inspections and maintenance for buildings, office equipment, electrical systems, and plumbing. Act as a coordinator with external contractors to ensure office maintenance and equipment function normally.
- Coordinate the renewal of maintenance contracts and permits with government and local authorities, handling renewals in advance according to their cycles.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisors to assist within the HR team as needed, in a team-working capacity.
- Bachelor's degree in Safety, Occupational Health, and Working Environment.
- At least 3 years of experience in safety-related work.
- Experience in preparing data, documents, and compiling Safety Officer (SO) reports and other reports for submission to government agencies.
- Strong safety awareness concerning both Unsafe Actions and Unsafe Conditions, with skills in inspections, problem-solving, and systematic preventive measures.
- High service-mindedness (Good Service Mind), willingness to take on various tasks, and a team-oriented mindset.
- Discipline in performing assigned tasks according to the guidelines set by supervisors, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel. If current skills are limited, the candidate must have a strong desire to learn and improve, with high discipline and punctuality for acquiring such skills.
